Instructions
for installing Rear Wing Spoiler
-
Apply
2-3 layers of wide low adhesive painters tape on the trunk lid where
the holes will later be drilled.
-
Insert the "hole locator pointers" into the holes in the bottom of the wing about even
with the foam pad.
- Carefully lay Spoiler on lid, and center.
-
Once aligned, press down on the wing to puncture the tape to exactly mark
where the holes will be drilled.
-
Lift Spoiler from the trunk lid. So
that you don’t accidentally drill through any molding on your car,
or drill anything else in the trunk, lift the lid and secure with a
spacer such as a rolled up newspaper than won’t scratch.
-
Drill starter holes through the marked points in the tape with a new
1/8" drill bit. Continue to drill through second layer of metal
in trunk as well.
-
Open top holes to about 1/4inch or just to where the
screws will easily go through using a rosebud style bit.
-
Open the bottom holes inside the trunk using a 1/2inch rosebud style drill bit
to the full 1/2inch size as the hole plugs are made to snap perfectly
into a 1/2 hole. These 1/2inch holes become the access holes through
which you will screw the Spoiler to the trunk lid.
-
Coat bare metal
with rust proofing silicone included in kit. Carefully hold spoiler
onto lid, while installing stainless steel screws from underside of
trunk lid.
-
Tighten screws evenly, Install provided hole plugs, and
you’re done.
