Emblem and Holder

Replace your "standing star" with this genuine Mercedes hood emblem. The emblem measures 2 3/16" in diameter and covers the indentation in the hood. It does not fit inside the indentation in your hood. The holder for the emblem is made in Germany by Schaetz.
Installation:
Remove the original Mercedes "standing star" emblem by twisting it from under the hood. Once the spring pressure is released, it will pop out.
Flat Emblem and Holder: Loosen, but do not remove the nut at the bottom of the threaded shaft. Drop the holder in from the top side of the hood. Turn the black clamp opposite the openings in the hood. Tighten the nut with your fingers. Add a little silicone adhesive under the hood emblem. Then press the fingers of the emblem into the white holder sleeves. Position the emblem to face correctly, then tighten the nut on the holder.
