Caliper Paint Kit

Greatly enhance the appearance of your ride by applying this durable, high-gloss, protective coating to your calipers. Do it yourself. No need to remove your calipers. Best procedure is to buy a set of jack stands at any auto chain store. These cost around $15.00. After you remove your wheels, clean all four calipers, sanding smooth if necessary, and using the spray cleaner before mixing the paint with the reactive hardener. After mixing, working time is 4-6 hours. There is enough paint to cover four calipers with two or three coats. Add one coat to each caliper as a primer, then add a second coat. Paint is thick, and formulated to be brushed on to fill imperfections in the metal. Everything required is provided in the kit. Each Hi-Tech Paint System includes: special Caliper Cleaner, Paint, Reactive Hardner, Mixing can, stirrer and Application Brush.
Colors available:
Red, Black, White, Silver, Yellow, Green, Blue, Orange, Gold, Purple and Pink. Enter your color choice of caliper paint in the comments section of the order form. Finish is very durable with heat tollerance to 900F. Finish resists chipping and colors stay vibrant for years.

601/111 DURAGLOSS 2-PART POLYMER POLISH SYSTEM

This A-B two part polymer polish system will provide a "Wet Look" to your car's finish. The shine is deep and will outlast other types of wax products. This combination of bonding agent and polymer polish doubles the durability, and provides a deep gloss. Unlike many wax products, Duragloss bonds to the paint rather than just sitting on top of the paint - waiting to be washed off. The high gloss can be maintained over time. Before applying, you must start out with very clean paint. If you run your finger tips across your paint and feel little specks - then you need to either use a claybar with lube, or Duragloss Pre-Polish cleaner #652. Apply Bonding Agent #601 to your car's finish - don't remove it! Then go over your car with 111 polymer polish. Allow 601/111 time to cure, then buff with soft cotton, or ideally buff with Duragloss #9003 Plush Microfiber. After four hours a second coat of #111 polish can be applied. Do not use the bonding agent on subsequent coats. 601/111 can also be used on any non-porous surface such as clear coated or chrome wheels, any plastic roof panels or molding, headlights and tail lights. Machine buffing is not necessary. Can be applied and is ideally cured in direct sunlight.
What sets Duragloss apart from other car care products is that the products are easy to use;
the shine and protection will last much longer and is easily maintained. Each bottle of 601 and 111 are 8 oz.

After you wash and dry your car - Run your fingertips across your paint. If you can feel any specks or graininess, or hear a rough sound – then you need to use a Clay Bar to remove surface contaminants and smooth out your paint. Clay bar is always used with a lubricant and prepares your paint for polishing without removing clear coat. After wash, rinse and dry, spray area at a time with Duragloss #921 Quick Detailer and wipe dry. Also use #921 as a lubricant with the clay – spray on clay and on area to be cleaned. Flat Hood Emblem with Holder

Installation:
Remove the original Mercedes "standing star" emblem by twisting it from under the hood. Once the spring pressure is released, it will pop out. Insert the white sleeves into the top of the emblem holder. The flat part of sleeves will be on top. Install the emblem holder with the attached nut and black clamp firmly, but not completely tight - so it can still be turned for proper positioning of the emblem. Add a little silicone adhesive under the hood emblem. Then press the fingers of the emblem into the white holder sleeves. Position the emblem to face correctly, then tighten the nut on the holder.

Replace your "standing star" with this genuine Mercedes hood emblem. The emblem measures 2 3/16" in diameter and covers the indentation in the hood. It does not fit inside the indentation in your hood. The holder for the emblem is made in Germany by Schaetz.
Installation:
Remove the original Mercedes "standing star" emblem by twisting it from under the hood. Once the spring pressure is released, it will pop out.
Flat Emblem and Holder: Loosen, but do not remove the nut at the bottom of the threaded shaft. Drop the holder in from the top side of the hood. Turn the black clamp opposite the openings in the hood. Tighten the nut with your fingers. Add a little silicone adhesive under the hood emblem. Then press the fingers of the emblem into the white holder sleeves. Position the emblem to face correctly, then tighten the nut on the holder.

MP3 Adapter (Fiber Optics)

The SoundGate interface, provides an Auxillary input to connect your MP3 player. With this direct connection, you get pure clean sound, with no fading or interference, which is often the case with FM modulators. You can still play an individual CD through your factory head unit, (If you have that kind of head unit) but you will not be able to use your factory multi-disc CD system. Play order selections are made from your MP3 player, not from the head unit. Volume can be controlled at the head unit or steering wheel controls.
The SoundGate interface works with Mercedes fiber optic sound systems which either have a factory CD Changer, or are pre-wired as "CD Changer ready". The SoundGate components are installed at the Changer Mounting Location. It is not installed at the head unit. If you have a factory CD changer, it is removed, and replaced with SoundGate components. If your vehicle is not wired for a CD Changer, the SoundGate system will not work. From the Changer Mounting Location, your installer will provide a cable that runs to where you want to connect your MP3 player, such as your console or glove box.
The SoundGate interface includes all fiber optic cabling and power wiring. Unless you are familiar with fiber optic splicing, Professional installation is required.
